Halloween Fun

Halloween turned out great this year! Taylor wanted to be a Ninja and Haleigh wanted to be the little Mermaid aka Ariel. Our enrichment did a service auction and I won a handmade Halloween costume, thanks so much Merilee! Haleigh LOVED her costume, and I LOVED her costume, it turned out fabulous! The kids absolutely loved trick or treating. They were done in about 20 minutes, they wanted to get home so bad to just eat all the goods. I could have gone on for a lot longer, but who says no to their kids when they are done trick or treating that fast!
~Can we go already? No more pictures!~

We played a few games, this one is a mummy race!

Find the worms in the whip cream, hilarious to watch

YUMMY

Here's Tay and his buddy Matthew at their school Halloween party! They had sooo much fun! Halloween was such a blast! I love this time of year, we get to celebrate so many different holidays and just be together as a family. It's the best!

Eggs and Indians

Two funny stories about the kiddos.
Story #1
I was putting the groceries into the car when I noticed that the egg carton was open and some eggs (unbroken) were in the bag. I put them all back into the carton when I noticed that one was missing. I was like what the heck! where did the egg go? So I searched through the other bags and on the ground to see where it had disappeared to. I couldn't find this little egg anywhere. Then I thought great it's broken somewhere inside the car, but nope it wasn't! Then I ask the kids if they were playing with the eggs or something. They both of course said no. But then little Haleigh puts her hand down her shirt and says, "Oh here's the Egg mom!" Taylor and I bust up laughing so hard. My lovely little girl stole an egg and stuffed it down her shirt! And it was still all together~yes that is a miracle!

Story #2
I was folding laundry when the kids rushed in without their shirts on. I said why do you guys have your shirts off? You need to keep your clothes on! Haleigh said, "Mom we are just playing Indians" I love the imagination of kids, they just crack me up!

Pickin' Pumpkins

~Hey guys I found the best pumpkin~

~Here it is!~

~Tay just really wanted this stick and of course he turned it into some kind of weapon~

The kids love going to the pumpkin patch! It's something that they look forward to each year. For the past two years we have been going to the Lake View Pumpkin Patch, it is soooo much fun! I just love watching their little faces get so excited about things. The weather was beautiful. The pumpkins were orange. The kids were happy. It was a great day!

Happy Birthday Taylor

My little boy turned Six on September 23! I can't believe it! Tay is so much fun to have in our family! Here's a few things about Taylor: he asks a lot of questions, he wants to know everything about bacteria and viruses (obviously thanks to Matt), he LOVES going to kindergarten, he loves to learn new things, he loves to build things with his Lego's, he loves creating things out of what he can find in the recycling, give him some tape, paper, crayons, string and he will CREATE something, he is a collector of everything, he likes to keep random things, his dad is his best friend, he says LONG prayers and says thank you for everything possible, basically he just the best little boy ever!

~Taylor's First Bike~

~He pick a Wolverine and Magneto Cake~

It seemed like we were celebrating his birthday for the entire month of September. When we were in Utah we had a surprise birthday for him, which he thought was the coolest thing ever! Then back in Oregon we took him and some of his friends to Chuck E. Cheeses. Lastly on is actual Birthday, we took Taylor out to Lunch and bought him his first bike. He LOVES his red bike! He prays about it all the time, saying "thank you so much for my bike, I love it so much!" It makes me laugh! We love you Tay we are so proud of you and are blessed to have you in our family!

BYU FOOTBALL

Fall definitely reminds me of BYU football. Growing up it was just part of our everyday life. My Grandma is one of the biggest BYU football fans out there, so it pretty much stemmed from her! Along with her Matt is a HUGE cougar fan, it is fun to watch him get so excited about it, and not fun at all if they lose! He and my brothers have a lot fun talking about it. I think they are all in love with Bronco.

Haleigh the Dancer

Haleigh LOVES going to her Dance class. It's so cute to watch her and all the little girls. The teacher is awesome and just makes it so much fun. Haleigh loves to just stand by the teacher and copy everything that she does! It's too funny! It makes me so happy to see my kids happy, I think that is one of the greatest things about being a parent. Just seeing their little smiles and faces get so excited! It's the best!

Where did summer go?

I feel like summer just flew by! I mean remember when it was July and now it's September, crazy! So here's some updates:

Matt: He started his rotations and is loving it! He is currently in OBGYN, which could be a little weird for some men, but he is liking it so far. He has helped out with some surgery's and always comes home with some really good stories. The doctors that he has worked with always have such good feedback about him. He is truly going to be an amazing Doctor!

Karleigh: I am enjoying this time where we are all busy with life. I just feel really blessed to be where I am at in life. I love watching my children grow and see all the new changes in them! I'm still just trying to keep it all together and keep everything in order. Which turns out is always going to be hard to do! I am still running, it really helps me out, it's something that gives me peace and helps me through tough days!

Taylor: My little buddy started Kindergarten. He is loving it! It's fun to watch him get so excited about going to school. His friend Matthew is in his class and that really helps him out. His teacher is Mrs.Reynolds and Taylor says she's the nicest teacher ever! He will start a swimming class and a basketball class soon.

Haleigh: She is growing up to be such a fun little girl. She misses Taylor when he is gone at school. She is becoming more girly all the time, she loves carrying a purse around with her princess shoes, combined with all of my bracelets. She is having fun in preschool and really helps me out a lot. She will be starting a dance class and soccer soon.

So there's a little update on us!
